I have to say it is really beautiful out after that last storm and so peaceful too. We were out in Minnetonka at Grammas walking in the woods yesterday and it was like a fairy tale land!

I so agree Emma. It was peaceful and beautiful. Very magical.

Gorgeous! I love when the snow clings to the trees like that, it’s so quiet and peaceful.

You’ve captured the spirit of it beautifully. Absolutely great pics.

Thanks Leslie! I love it too. It was so magical. The solitude was awesome too. I kept oohing and aahhhing at every turn.

You would love it Sugar, but I am sure you are ready for spring like us.

This kind of snow is very pretty…although I think you guys have had enough of it.

Thank you! Yes. I think I have certainly had enough. 🙂

Good grief…how much more snow did you get? Beautiful shots!!

LOL! 10-12 inches Mary. It was crazy. The roads are still coated with ice about an inch thick in spots. It was rain and then a ton of snow. Glad you like the pictures. 🙂

The scenery this winter has been spectacular – it’s only saving grace in being up to our butts in snow! Such gorgeous photos – you can feel the stillness winter always has.

Thanks Miss Kodee. The stillness is what I love most about days like these. There is a quiet beauty one cannot get anywhere else.

You’ve really captured the beauty of a winter storm–I know you’ll be glad when summer comes though!

Thanks Sage. And yes, I most definitely will be happy when summer arrives. It has been a long, cold winter.

Gorgeous shots! Snow certainly is beautiful, even if it’s starting to get old right about now! 🙂

Thanks Jan. Yes. It is getting old, but days like these take some of the sting out of it. 🙂

Funny you say that. I am thinking I might make a few of them into Christmas cards. 🙂

These are GORGEOUS! (pls excuse the exclamation.) I know a lot of you are complaining about the snowiest winter but honestly… you’ve made it look so beautiful. 😉

Thank you!!!! It was an amazing storm. The downside? The snow is still packed onto the roads and highways. Slippery as hell and like driving down a dirt road. Other than that it has been beautiful.

  16. February 24, 2014 at 10:20 PM

Truly beautiful, each and every one of those shots. Amazing!

I’m so jealous of your dog park! It looks awesome in all weather conditions. We’d like to visit and play in the snow just once 🙂 Beautiful photos Mel. I particularly love the last one, no the last 2. Jasper looks great in the snow!
