Favorite Video Friday – Dog Park in Slow Motion
This week we’re slowing down an enjoying the dog park filmed in slow motion. The video selection for this week has almost an art film feel to it. It is beautifully shot and focuses on the small intimate moments we often miss at a dog park.
I like it because it features dogs (of course!), but I also like it because it doesn’t make me anxious seeing one group of dogs beating up on another dog, which is often what I see. I also like it because it is just that beautiful to watch.
If it wasn’t so short, I would say get yourself a bowl of popcorn, a glass of wine, and sit back and enjoy. 🙂
Happy Friday everyone.
May you have a fantastic weekend.

Favorite Video Friday – Doggie supermodels at play
I don’t know if I have mentioned this before, but I have a fascination with slow motion videos of dogs. I love seeing them play in a pool and watching the droplets fly off them in slow-mo. I love watching then play and run with other dogs in slow motion too. (in my head, I hear the sound they used to make when the Six-million Dollar Man used to run really, really fast). 🙂
I don’t really know what my fascination is with slow motion videos, I just know I love watching them.
This week’s Favorite Friday Video is one of those types of videos. What makes this one stand out is how it is filmed. The dogs look like a bunch of super models running around in nature. No, really, they do! I was totally entranced.
It features just about every kind of dog you could imagine too – hounds, labs, goldens, chihuahuas, terriers, bulldogs, etc. It’s a dog lover’s delight!
I hope you enjoy this visual work of art.
Happy Friday everyone!
Favorite Video Friday – Seek peace, walk your dog
The last couple of days have been filled with sadness and anger and fear. I am saddened by the loss of life. I am angry that so much harm has been done and that we seem to be beyond communicating with one another. I am heartbroken that so many families are grieving today.
On days like today, I need to get away and walk with my dogs. I need to think, process what has happened. I need to be in nature. That’s why I chose this video for today. I am hoping it brings you the zen I seek as I head out today.
Be thoughtful. Be safe. Be kind.

Favorite Video Friday – The Dogist: Dog Photographer
This week I’m going in a bit of a different direction with the Favorite Friday video. Normally, I focus on the dogs – funny dogs, cute dogs, amazing dogs and just dogs having fun, but this week I thought I’d share a video featuring a dog photographer.
I happened across this interesting video on Vimeo and thought it was fun and interesting. If you follow this blog, you know that I love taking pictures, especially of dogs. It’s interesting to see someone actually doing it very day.
Meet Elias Weiss Friedman aka The Dogist, a writer and photographer. He takes some amazing photos of dogs in New York. You can follow him on Instagram or Facebook. He also has a website: http://thedogist.com. I hope you enjoy learning more about him and the dogs he photographs.
Happy Friday everyone!
