You may have heard… Minnesota is in a perpetual Groundhog Day type of weather pattern this year. One day it is winter and the next day it’s spring. The next day it’s winter again, and then suddenly, spring makes a brief return (just to tease us).
It’s hard to know what month it is anymore. December? April?
The local radio guy even put up his Christmas tree again!
Think I am kidding? These are all pictures I took in the month of April.
What a weekend! Friday and Sunday brought us a little bit of the white stuff.
The snow on Friday might have made the commute home slow-going, but the dogs couldn’t have been happier to see it. Jasper and Cupper’s played tag in the snow!
Sunday brought us even more snow – at least a foot of wet and messy stuff. The dogs were only too happy to make a trip to the dog park. Luckily, we left early enough to avoid most of the traffic. We had the pleasure of enjoying a relatively quiet dog park. There is nothing quite as serene as hearing the crunch of your boots in the snow and the gentle touch of wet snowflakes on your face.
I thought I would share just a few shots of our weekend. I hope you enjoy them.
Last weekend, we were walloped by another snowstorm. This one broke all the old records for amount of snowfall received in February. Go figure.
But, it got me to thinking… maybe we shouldn’t be so unhappy about the extra snow. After all, spring is just around the corner and then we have THIS (see below) to look forward to. More snow? It could be worse.
