I love watching dog sports in slow motion. There is just something about watching their fur slowly ruffle in the wind or seeing their skin ripple across their muscles as they run. Whether it be agility, hunting or dock diving, slow motion video shows us more than we ever see with our eyes in the moment.
When that slow motion video is also wonderfully shot and edited, it makes it even more a work of art. That is what I am sharing with you today. Notice how artfully framed this dock diving event is and how well it tells the story.
I wish I had half the skills of the person or persons who created this week’s video.
This week’s Favorite Friday video features dock diving dogs at the 2015 GoPro Mountain games. The GoPro Mountain games are a yearly event held in Colorado that includes dog events, music, running and other sporting events. The next one is June 8-11. Check it out!
Happy Friday everyone!
I found this week’s favorite Friday video earlier this week and just knew it had to be this week’s pick. It features a Golden Retriever named Elsa.
I wanted a Golden Retriever after watching this video. Elsa has to be the most magnificent Golden I have ever seen. She is a dog who knows how to have fun and isn’t afraid to show it. She jumps, climbs, swims, leaps, dives, runs, and looks amazing while doing it too!
Our doggie video critics, Daisy, Jasper, Cupcake and Maggie gave it a four paws up! You seriously cannot beat that. 🙂
I hope you enjoy Elsa’s magnificence as much as we did.
Happy last Friday of June everyone!
I’m always sharing these beautiful and awe-inspiring moments of zen on my personal Facebook page. These are usually pictures of great beauty and serenity – a person sitting on a mountain watching the sun set, a chair on the end of a dock overlooking a beautiful lake, etc.
Nothing makes me pause and enjoy the moment more than seeing a sight of beauty and placing myself in the picture – even if it’s only in my mind.
Occasionally, I will also share what I call “Doggie Zen Moments” on my blog’s Facebook page. These are usually pictures that depict what I think a dog might consider a zen moment – sitting on a beach watching the waves roll in, walking beside his best friend, down a dirt path and into the woods, chasing a squirrel up a tree, etc.
It’s pretty rare that I come across a video that displays a doggie zen moment, but I think this one comes pretty darn close. Don’t you?
And, enjoy the moment with your dog.
Happy Friday everyone!
