Favorite Video Friday – The Doggie Alarm Clock
I have decided that it is time for Foster Maggie and I to have a talk. It seems she has appointed herself as my doggie alarm clock where one was not needed. I’m not sure why she felt that she needed to fill this role, but I am hoping that our discussion will educate her on the benefits of sleeping in (or hitting snooze).
Life before Maggie was peaceful and slumber-rific. My dogs never felt the need to wake me up in the morning. They usually just waited until I got up. They might have paced between the living room and my bedroom before, but they never barked or woke me up. Weekends were the best, they let me sleep in.
But now, we have Maggie and she does not have a snooze button. Nor does she understand weekends or the benefits of sleeping in.
I think that is why this week’s video resonated with me so much today. I hope you do not have a doggie alarm clock, but if you do, there are many of us who can relate. 🙂
Happy Friday everyone!
Oh that’s adorable. My miniature poodle Rio can’t control her licker….she kisses me awake every morning. Wouldn’t have it any other way. 😉 Love this video!
My dogs are content to sleep as long as I do. My alarm clock is my cockatoo, whose alarm sounds like a pterodactyl. Oh joy.🙀
The best way to wake up in the morning is to the doggie alarm clock! Loved this video!
You didn’t have a doggie alarm before Maggie? I thought we all had a doggie alarm! We have two doggie alarm clocks and these clocks are apparently set for the crack of dawn LOL!
Love & Biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
Nope! I guess I was just lucky before! 🙂
we are the bestest clocks we know when it is time to get up when it is time to eat
That is adorable but I imagine frustrating when you are trying to sleep in. It is cute that your other dogs were always so polite about it, and Maggie just says “Nah, if I am awake, you will be awake!” That picture of her is amazingly cute though. So I am sure you forgive her.
To be honest, I don’t mind all that much. It’s just an adjustment from having no dogs barking to wake me up to one. I adore Maggie, so I say this more tongue in cheek. 🙂
While I am sorry about you missing out on your peaceful weekend morning slumber, hearing this makes me so happy for Maggie that she feels she has a voice now! ‘Foster mama Mel is the best!’ That’s what she’s telling you!!
LOL! Well, I’m not really missing that much more sleep. I just like the thought of sleeping in a few minutes longer. The best part is that Maggie has found her voice. She used to be so tentative about barking, but now she is confident enough to let me know when she wants to be out and about with the rest of the dogs. 🙂
