    That’s big hail! Wooo! Ku

That looks like a nasty storm; that hail is huge! The first picture of the storm is a great shot.

Thanks Ruby. Yes. It was a crazy storm. The hail was bigger than I have ever seen before.

It was nasty but short lived and we only got a few small pieces of hail in Lakeville.

You were so lucky Emma. We definitely had it bad. I’ve never seen so many roofing and siding signs staked out in yards before. Pretty much everyone has roof damage.

WOW…Those are some huge hail stones!!!
Daisy and Jasper look very upset with this storm.
How did it sound on your home?

Like nothing I have ever heard Alex. I was more worried about the sound of it hitting my bay window in the front. I seriously thought my windows were going to break. Daisy was scared, but honestly, we all were pretty freaked out. Straight-line winds and hail is something I don’t want to experience again.

OMD….That was some storm you had. Looks like what I see every day, minus the ice. Hail would probably melt when it hit the ground here.

It melted here too Amber, but dry, very slowly. Mist rose from the ground as it did. It was pretty eerie looking to say the least.

Holy Cow those are some huge pieces of hail! WOW! That last photograph is hilarious! Looks like they’re wearing a head gear to protect themself from the hail. Love it!

They were bigger than I have ever seen. I seriously thought they were going to break my front window. It was so unreal. Daisy’s protective gear! LOL!

  7. August 7, 2013 at 10:43 AM

Holy cow!! I hope no one or nothing got hurt.

No one got hurt – well, except for the plants. It was quite a form. Now I am just waiting for the tree guy to take down that limb and the roofing guy to tell me how much it will cost to replace.

Wow, that was quite the storm! The dogs don’t look very impressed….is that a toy on Daisy’s head? Too cute!

LOL! Yes. It’s a treat toy. You stuff jerky in it and let the dog work to get it out. In this case, Daisy preferred wearing it to working it. 🙂

  9. August 7, 2013 at 9:20 PM

Wow is right! I’ve never seen stuff like that before!

Me neither! This was a first!

  10. August 7, 2013 at 10:45 PM

that looks like scary hail! Where we are it almost never gets bigger than a marble… be careful.

Yup. Roof damage and my plants are in shredded pieces. Not quite what I was expecting to happen this summer. 😦

  11. August 8, 2013 at 2:05 AM

Yikes, you’re getting far worse weather in your summer than we are in our winter! Those are huge hail stones. Had to laugh at Daisy’s photo, is she carrying the round gadget for protection 🙂 So cute.

No kidding Sue!I have never seen anything like this storm before, but the whole summer has been strange. Laughed at your comment about Daisy’s gadget. It’s actually a toy you can stuff treats in and yes, I suspect it was for protection. 😀
