Sunday storms at the dog park (in pictures)

The weatherman had warned us to expect storms Sunday morning. Boy was he right!

We arrived at the dog park at 8 AM, hoping to beat the rain.

We did.

We also caught the most amazing cloud formations I have ever seen.

These were all taken with an iPhone and highlighted using the Lux filter in Instagram. No other filters were used.

Funny thing is it was over in about 15 minutes. We had sun the rest of the day. 🙂

Thanks Carole. It wasn’t loud at the dog park, but it was quite talkative. 🙂

We saw those same clouds on our walk and then from home, luckily before the rain came down in Lakeville!

We’re they cool Emmadog? We made it out of the dog park and down the road before it started to pour. So glad we left when we did. There were still a few people at the park when we left. Just crazy.

Awesome pics!! I am so glad you got rain to cool things down a bit.

. We never get summer rains so I was a little envious of all that sky drama.

  10. July 22, 2013 at 10:15 AM

The sky looks like it is computer generated in the Matrix or something – awesome photos!

I’m sorry I didn’t comment sooner but I was really enjoying your photos on Facebook.

As part of my sailing education, I’m trying to pay more attention to clouds and understand what they’re telling me. But they’re still a mystery. I would have expected you to be caught in the storm. But it looks like you had a pretty decent amount of time to play.

I love watching the clouds Pamela, but I am no closer to understanding them than you. Some of the formations I saw on Sunday reminded me of ones I have see in videos and pictures before a tornado or major storm, but this one was just a 15 minute downpour. The rest of the day was beautiful.
