Favorite Video Friday – Walker kitty meets Diesel the Mastiff

I think the music makes this week’s Favorite Video Friday. And the video itself? It’s cute and sweet and well, just plain adorable. How can you not fall in love with Diesel? When I think of a gentle giant I can’ help but think of him.

Walker, the kitty, is so very brave given the size of his new brother. Don’t you think?

I hope you will find this week’s video as precious as I did.

Happy Friday!

Okay. So I couldn’t help it. I just HAD to include one more video of Diesel and Walker.

Their mom wrote:

The cats always wake up early and come down with me for coffee and their breakfast. Diesel likes to sleep in, of course! So by the time Diesel comes down, Walker is thrilled to see him.

I assume the very earliest footage was of Walker being introduced to the house and Diesel?

I thought of how I hold Honey when we meet a new kitty so she doesn’t startle them and I wondered why the family didn’t hold onto Diesel just in case. And then my sense returned and I realized that if a mastiff wanted to harass a kitty, there was nothing anyone could do about it. I think a 150 pound dog has about 450 pounds of pulling power.

Very sweet animal family. Loved the videos.

Diesel is gorgeous! As is Walker, actually. The two make an adorable pair. It’s always so much fun watching different species interact and it really is incredible how well – for the most part – dogs and cats have adapted to living together, something that didn’t come naturally to either. Thanks for sharing these!
