Favorite Video Friday – A boy, his dog and a bike

This week’s video is a bit outside the adorable-dog-doing-something-cute genre, but I had to share it anyways. First, it contains a Sheltie (love!). Second, the Sheltie is following his boy as he does amazing things on his bike. Third, the video is just plain amazing to watch.

Happy Friday!

Cool Video, however I really did not care for the music.
I think it would have been better played with a song from Led Zeppelin.
Looks and sounded like the Sheltie had a GREAT Time too!!!

Led Zepplin would have been good too. I wasn’t a huge fan of the music, but thought it fit the video.

Thanks Julie. Agree. What a great workout.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend too!

Best video ever! I absolutely loved it. And it looked like that Sheltie did too.

Thanks Pamela! I guess I should have shared it sooner. I wasn’t sure how many people would like it as much as I did. Glad you did. 🙂

Loved it! The Sheltie was adorable.

(And I loved the music, too. The rider, and presumably film-maker, is a ‘kid’. The music should be his, not something from before he was born. 😉

Wow! That is one talented biker and dog! I was on the edge of my seat watching this whole video, waiting for the biker to wipe out! Wow!

I admit, I held my breath a couple of times. 🙂 I saw someone riding with their dog just yesterday, I’d be too nervous that I would run my dog over though. 🙂

    Thanks for sharing!

You are right, the video itself is just incredible. What a gorgeous location!

AWESOME!! I would love to do something like that with even one dog!! I’m just getting myself reacquainted with a bike again. I can’t wait to take one of the dogs with me!!

I wish there were more kids riding bike trails like these instead of the man-made concrete contraptions! I made my own trail as kid in the woods near my house that belonged to a plant nursery. It was just a tiny fraction of the length of this trail; but, I treasured every inch of it. (And, the property wasn’t fenced, nor was considered trespassing to use it! Ah — the good old days!)

We used to have a path that was called The Bluebird Path where us kids would ride and the boys would make dirt jumps. It was awesome until they put in a tar path and tore down half the trees. 🙂
Give me the woods and I am happy.

Awesome video! Loved the music although I’ve never heard of them, lol. What was great to me was seeing a Sheltie getting out doing something like that and loving it with an owner who didn’t look like a Sheltie owner, lol. You don’t expect a young bloke with a tattoo all over his calf to own a Sheltie:)

Great video! Loved the dog! Music was perfect, nice riding! Great photgraphy too! Why no titles for the dog though, a little credit for dog keeping up with the bike?

I am so glad you liked it Rick. I believe Timmy, the Sheltie, was given credit in the end. He is also included in the video description on Vimeo. I agree. He deserves some credit!

My hubby and I used to mountain bike, until I crashed and then I was afraid. He still mountain bikes and says that he used to mountain bike with a dog named Zuni that would run with them like that (our kitty is named after that dog!) LOVED this video (and didn’t even mind the music!!) Thanks for sharing!!!

Hi Mel,,,thanks so much for uploading this. I sent it to a few friends and family who loved it and have watched it more than once. I think the hook is the sheltie! However, the rider , the filming and the music are great too. I have a young sheltie and he is a little wary of rocks and brambles etc, but after seeing this, perhaps I have underestimated his abilities!
Pass on everyone’s kudos to the biker and filmmaker too.
