Little Lady Lost – First day home

My apologies to all my readers for not updating you on how Little Lady Lost finally came home. It’s been a crazy day today.

I promise that I will share the full story with you Friday evening. But until then, I thought I would share a few pictures of my girl. She slept most of the morning and early afternoon (I can’t imagine how tired she must be after such a harrowing adventure) and spent most of the late afternoon and evening trying to figure out a way to get onto my bed so she could eat the cat’s food. She’s never had a problem with that before, but I am sure she’s still not at full strength yet. If there is one thing I know about Little Lady, she is not one to be deterred long!

A very tired girl

Can you please let me on the bed so I can get that cat food?

As an added note, Lady had an interview with a reporter from WCCO this evening. She was quite calm for being a TV star. Even I was amazed at her ability to take it all in stride. She also met her rescuer, Brad Wright, again tonight and seemed happy to just lie on the couch next to him. Go figure! She also had a visit from her other foster mom, Dawn. She knew who she was as soon as she sniffed her and immediately started wagging her scrawny little tail. That made my evening.

Thank you so much for all the prayers, good wishes, good thoughts and kind words. And to all of you who helped spread the word and hep in the search for Lady. Thank you.

Been away for too long – looks like I missed a harrowing time and tale. It’s good to come in on the happy ending though.

I say no apology is needed. I completely understand why you haven’t posted and am patiently waiting to hear more of the story – when you are ready. I’m just glad Lady is home where she belongs.

LOVE her with all your heart and don’t ever let her out of your sight…..lol

Brad must have a very kind and calm energy. That’s why his presence didn’t spook her so much outside and enabled her to sit with him in the house.

Do you think he’d like to adopt a sheltie? Or has Mel been through so much with Lady that she’s not going any where? 🙂

See ya when you’ve had a rest.

I’m glad Lady’s guardian angel found her and went the extra mile to rescue her. Lady owes Brad a big sloppy sheltie smooch. 🙂

I have a question, why is the cat’s food on your bed? My cats eat out of a bowl on the floor.

      December 2, 2011 at 9:24 PM

LOL! Actually Danielle he used to eat on the floor too, but when I realized that Lady had a penchant for eating cat food I started putting it up on the bed. Of course, since then I have discovered that she can get on the bed so I had to put up a gate. I only put it on the bed again because I didn’t feel like putting up the gate and I thought she wouldn’t jump on the bed because she was so exhausted. I was wrong. She tried. Many times. 🙂

  24. December 2, 2011 at 5:45 PM

Thank goodness she’s home safe and sound!

So glad Lady made it home. I have been following your story. Many prayers have gone to Lady and her family. So many people involved in the miracle of Lady coming home. Miracles are real!

Delana – Thank you for your prayers. I firmly believe that it was prayers and many, many good people, like you, that brought Lady home.
      Yes. Miracles ARE REAL!

Our dog just passed away Thursday so this is the news I needed to hear about Lady making it home.

Oh Delana! I am so very sorry! There is nothing like the loss of a pet is there. Seeing them everywhere they used to be is the hardest. They are so much a part of our lives.
I am glad that Lady’s safe return helped in some small way. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry for your loss.
