Favorite Video Friday – While You Were Gone

I happened across these two videos while out looking at another pet video on YouTube, and it got me to thinking… What do my dogs do while I am gone? I suspect they sleep too, but I just may have to set up my camera to see. I love all the strange sleeping positions.

I thought I would end with the actual arrival home. This is what most of us see. Isn’t it? 🙂

So I guess all that guilt I have about leaving Honey alone for 4 hours at a time is just stupid. She’s sleeping on my bed happily the whole time, isn’t she?

Still, I’d rather be working from home and having her sleeping under my desk.

Fun videos. Especially the first one. But Yahoo certainly moved around alot more in the course of the day. Did you catch him up on the table in front of the window?

Pamela – I was laughing when I read your comment. It almost matched my thoughts exactly. You mean I worried for nothing? They were just sleeping the whole time? Geesh!
I would rather be working from home too BTW.

I did not notice Yahoo on the table! Good catch!

I think these are my favourite videos of all the ones you have posted. Do I always say that?

But I have often thought about putting up some sort of camera to spy on my animals during the day. It would either be really interesting, or a total snoozefest like these dogs. Very cute though.

The last video was so happy. I loved how all the dogs got up at the same time. They were all passed out but as soon as they heard that car… It was instantaneous!

LOL! Kristine – You can say it as many times as you want! I actually did set up a camera soon after I adopted Daisy because I wanted to know how she would handle staying in the house by herself (I took my dog Aspen with me for a walk around the block). In a period of 2 minutes, Daisy ran between the front and back doors a total of about 10 times. She was frantic. Not destructive, but definitely frantic. That’s how I knew she would always need a companion. When Aspen was home she was calm. When she was not then she was a wreck. Jasper helps her now that Aspen is gone.

I LOVED the last video too. Funny how they all knew at once isn’t it?

I’m home with my cats and dogs all day long and this is exactly how it goes. I don’t need a camera to know. LOL. And seeing that, when I’m not home (if these videos are any example), means nothing different happens when I’m away. That’s all good in my book!

Ha! That’s can’t be true Kim! I’ve seen what your cats do when you are there! Sleeping isn’t always the modus operandi! 🙂
