Dog park friends (in pictures)
Many of you have heard me talk about our dog park in previous posts. It’s one of our favorite places to go. It has a huge field in front, woods to the side and is patrolled by the park sheriffs on a regular basis. Most everyone who goes to our dog park walks with their dogs. I like that we all get exercise at the same time, the dogs and us.
I thought I would take some time out today to introduce you to some of our dog park friends. These are not all of our friends, but just some of the ones we like to walk with when we are there. They and their owners are awesome.

Look at all of your lovely dog park friends! That looks like a really fun group (with a whole lot of runners, holy smokes!)
LOL! So funny Jen. I never realized how many runners we have! They are all wonderful dogs too!
I’m tired just looking at the still photos of this crew! They are all beautiful.as is the snow! We had a few flakes, but nothing that lasted more than a couple of hours.
Tired? Oh no! We have had a steady flow of snow days here lately. It’s usually not more than a few inches at a time, but it’s starting to add up. Up next? The cold freeze. Again. Sigh. I want spring.
It looks like such a fun place! I love the variety of dogs….a little bit of everything!
What a great pack of pals you have at your park…looks like a fun place to go for a romp
Great photos! What a handsome and diverse group of dogs!
Lilly’s best, best friend was a borzoi, but she moved away from our neighborhood. With her fears of other dogs, Lilly is NOT a dog-park girl, but her friend Katie came here to play all the time. She had great dog-dog skills, so Lilly liked her. She also put up with a ton of Lilly’s crap, but that’s why they were pals. BUT, I have to say … your dog park is so pretty. The ones here are barren dirt patches.
Nadia is the perfect name for a Borzoi, love it! She is gorgeous as well, but then, all the dogs here are. I enjoyed that I recognized a few faces from other posts of yours too.
Great photos. This is a fun idea for a post. Maybe I’ll do the same with all of Rita’s friends at her favorite dog park. Love love love Nadia. She’s adorable. (Very impressed that you not only know their names, you know the various spellings too – esp’y Abbie v. Abby!)
I loved seeing these beautiful pups! What happy times you have shared!
The pictures look like a glimpse into my local of leash dog park. How big is this space? Are there trails thru the woods,or a river in it? Is it near a residential area? The one i use is all fenced in it used to be a wide open field beside a big river and the dogs could run in the water to cool off in the hot weather months. There is lots of running room and bins for recycling garbage or ones for waste. A woman donated money for a dog water fountain the city installed. It gets a lot of use! I live in Toronto, where do you live?
I love the pictures!!
What a delight to open your blog site and see so many of our MN friends. Thank you Mel for a glimpse of MN dog park fun! Prince has been busy running in the sand and surf, as well as chasing lots of squirrels, and we are both having lots of fun.
I am so glad you and Prince are having so much fun Marsha. Daisy is definitely jealous of the sun and sand. Jasper and Cupcake would like to join him in chasing squirrels.
I thought Prince’s picture turned out pretty good. He’s so darn handsome!
We can’t wait to see you in spring. I sure hope it comes soon!
Great pics! Looks like everyone was having a great time. Snow? Cold? Who cares!
The pictures are beautiful and your friends are a diverse group.
What a nice bunch of friends you got there! Nadia is a beautiful friend!
